Spanish top-flight soccer club Athletic Bilbao have signed a two-year deal with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Spain that sees Jeep become the official vehicle of the La Liga side.

Jeep’s logo will feature across various club properties, including around their San Mamés stadium and their training ground, as well as digitally across the Athletic’s website and social media channels.

As part of the agreement, Jeep will be able to offer fans exclusive deals with discounts, match tickets and various experiences.

A joint statement read: ‘Both entities are satisfied with the agreement reached, with the mutual benefit for their international projection.’

The Basque club recently agreed a two-year sponsorship deal with Bet365 and renewed their deal with local mobile phone company Euskaltel, which sponsors their women’s team.

Athletic continue their league season on Saturday evening as they prepare to host European champions Real Madrid.


World Rugby has launched a partnership with charity ChildFund ahead of the 2019 Rugby World Cup, with attending fans having the chance to donate to the program that looks to help disadvantaged communities across Asia.

Australian A-League soccer club Melbourne Victory have announced television manufacturer TCL as a major partner.

French basketball club Asvel have signed a ten-year naming rights deal with technology company LDLC, becoming known as LDLC Asvel. It is thought to be the biggest naming rights deal in French basketball.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has added solution provider Omegawave to its list of partners to help optimise athlete performance.

Media Rights

Television network Canal+ has secured exclusive rights to broadcast coverage of MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 races across its channels.

Ovo Mobile has signed a four-year broadcasting rights deal with Badminton Australia.


In esports, Gillette has signed a sponsorship deal with Brazil’s League of Legends competition.

Bidding & Hosting

Premier League soccer club Everton have announced that a friendly against Kenyan side Gor Mahia will take place at Goodison Park on 6th November, as part of their sponsorship deal with betting firm SportPesa. Gor Mahia will become the first East African club to play a match in the UK.

The Calgary Olympic Bid Corporation has announced that a bid to host the 2026 Winter Olympic Games will cost around US$5.2 billion. Calgary last hosted the event in 1988.
